Jennifer, a Montana native, graduated in Home Economics from the U of M and enjoyed several years teaching.
After moving back to Missoula in 1979 Jennifer began her career in home furnishings. In 1985 she joined partners, opening Trappings on East Main Street. Then in 1998, with her husband Jim and son Jared, Hunting & Gathering for the Home was opened on South Higgins Avenue.
Over the years, working with hundreds of clients, one thing continues to ring true; great homes are created by people filled with passion, not wallets stuffed with dollars.
Jennifer firmly believes a single piece, well chosen, trumps a roomful bought in haste.
A Missoula native, Mary graduated from U of M. She studied education with an emphasis in fine art. Mary specializes in solving decorating problems like how to place furniture, hang artwork, and what colors work to create a mood. When Mary is not working you may see her walking Jackson, her rescued terrier.
Interior Decorating is my passion and I love to share it.
Jackson the Dog
Jackson has been Hunting & Gathering’s “store greeter” since Mary and her husband rescued him from the Hamilton Humane Association six years ago. He was found “ruffing” it underneath a porch after being abandoned by his family. These days you can catch Jackson happily welcoming customers with a wagging tale and playful bark. Today is the best day ever!
